Our price winning youth
Yesterday two of our F players and a few seniors joined the prik(kie) tournament at KVA. After a very exciting final, which ended in 16-20, Esmee and Alexander won the first place at the F category. Congratulations Esmee and Alexander! A fantastic result! @kvakorfbal thank you very much for the organization of this great tournament!
Promotion on national television
Our members are fiercely promoting our club. We have been succesful on national television two times recently. Esmee succeeded in showing up IN HER SPORT OUTFIT on the national youth news broadcast. An amazing achievement. Congratulations Esmee! Esmee on National television on 2022-06-11 Earlier, in a popular talk show, Anita Witzier suggested that it would be a good if princess Amalia would join our korfball club. We can only agree.
Pinkster weekend 2022
Our yearly holiday during ‘Pinksteren’ had about 30 participants. This years theme was ‘Après-ski’. There was: a campfire, we played lasergame, we biked on a bike train that was 8(!) cars long, we held our traditional ’terrible’ hike (at night), we had a fantastic BBQ in the sun, we played a photo game in Weert and we competed in an Après-ski-quiz. It was ‘game ON’ all the way! You could tell that we all missed this.
Friends and Family Korfball Tournament
Only 2,5 more weeks to go and the first edition of the Friends and Family Korfball Tournament (18 June 2022) will take place. You can still join the tournament so register up till 11 June with your team of friends, family, neighbours etc etc. The rules of the tournament: a team contains a minimum of 4 players and only one ‘official’ korfball player is allowed at the same time on the playing field.
Korfball: a typically Dutch sport
Are you relatively new to the Netherlands, a bit lost, and having trouble fitting in? Becoming a sports fan can really help! If you’re already into soccer, you might tune into the ‘Eredivisie’, convince yourself to fall in love with a Dutch team, and empathise with its highs and lows. Soccer is certainly the Netherlands’ most popular sport, with more than a million players in the country. But if you want to become really Dutch - more Dutch, in fact, than most Dutch people themselves - let yourself discover the wonders of korfball.
